Are people seeing the rejections in their portals before they get the emails?

before this cycle began, if you asked me to place a bet on a single school that would send me an II, I would have said BU. Yet here I am, today, massacred alongside many other worthy comrades. I wish I could have some insight into how or why they make such decisions, but I am doing my best to process and let it float away. There are many other schools to come ๐Ÿ™ƒ

You have very high stats babe. I wouldn't take it too personally๐Ÿ’— I'm sure you loved the school but they also might assume you could get somewhere better and believed you wouldn't go there. A lot of strong applicants got rejected today so I would take that as a compliment (although it may not feel like one right now). Much more is coming your way.

PSA: to those who got an R, you can request feedback on your application towards the latter half of the cycle (I did this last year when I applied and got rejected). The Dean of admissions re-read mine and let me know I didn't have any fatal flaws in my application but that I simply just wasn't picked out of the batch for that cycle. They don't get super specific but it gave me piece of mind to know my app wasn't horrible. (I'm a reapplicant bc I applied to most of my schools in Nov/Dec lol and to BU around their deadline).

Did people who got the R today also receive the delayed review email? I know it prob doesn't mean anything but was curious
