Really just hope I'm in the que to be invited later! I'm not high stat or anything too but I really poured my heart out into their secondaries

Same! 7/2 here... has anyone been able to glean what happens to this pile (no II but no R) based on previous years?

following this question as a 7/5 submitter with no word yet. I do remember seeing them send out some iis in January or later to early submitters. Some of those people ended with As but i didnt do any formal calculation. Looking at this years cycle id imagine they are in between on this group of submitters. seems like theres a decent amount of people in this spot so id imagine not all of them can get ii but past years data suggests that some do.

This is really helpful. Thank you! Fingers crossed and good luck to you.

It's hard to say because Dartmouth's R waves are so different from last year (big R wave in November 2025, but this year started early in Sept), but here is my take as someone who is biased but pessimistic:

It seems like there was a decent number of applicants who avoided the big R waves but were eventually rejected in January or March. If they ended up receiving an II, it was usually in January and resulted in an R and a very rare WL. I didn't really see any A's for early submitters who received a late II.

So while no R is always more positive than bad, I am unfortunately not getting my hopes up. But I would love for someone else to prove me wrong!!

didnt mean to make my last response anon (i am the 7/5 submitter, purple anon from a few posts ago). looking at those who matriculated last cycle without scrolling quite far there are 100% people who submitted in july got the ii in late december or january and were admitted. I haven't looked at the ratio of all people who were early submitters late interview to say what the outcome is but i do know for sure that dartmouth gives later interviewees full consideration and its not like your "interviewing for the WL" after a certain date.

with all of that being said id say my current state is best described as cautiously optimistic or pessimistically intrigued (ik these are contradictory). What I mean is that they have doubled back and hit people who dodged a wave with an R on multiple ocassions already this cycle; however, I do believe that they will circle back and hit some of us in the limbo group with an ii later. Do we have an uphill battle from there? Probably, but im more optimistic about geisel now than i was at the start.
