If any of you newly admitted students ever want to chat/bounce some questions off of someone, or just want to know the vibe of the school, always happy to be a resource.
how bad does one need a car lol?

How much is the group interview weighted? I didn't contribute as much as the others and feel so bad that I didn't. I felt everything else went well though.

thank you so much! How do you find the location? I went to undergrad in Maine and while I like the outdoors I hated being so disconnected to urban settings and feeling isolated. I'm wondering what the upper valley is like. I'd love to know the vibe of the classes in general as well.
I like it. I have always preferred non-city living, so I like the area. There definitely is a feeling of a community bubble here. There are some interactions with Vermont med and Vermont law, but otherwise it's mostly just us. There are always events happening: farmer's markets, seasonal events, weekly community things, but it definitely doesn't feel as connected as a city.
Classes are good. We just started anatomy lab and the support we've gotten has been excellent. A huge emphasis on "there's no right way to experience/process this" and it has helped us all feel better.

Uhhhh, I know maybe 5ish people in our class of 96 who are making it work without a car. They need to get rides from people if they want to go shopping. Realistically, you need a car. You spend your first 2 years in Hanover on the medical school campus primarily, but you are still going to be going about. I am frequently in Hanover, West Leb, and Leb all in the same day. It is not practical to get around without a car.

No idea. I just remember hearing the advice of "don't talk the most but talk slightly more than average". I'd say the group interview is just a glimpse into your dynamic. If you're argumentative, talk over others, disagree in a disrespectful manner, etc. If you do not contribute a lot in terms of quantity, but what you did contribute was good, I'd think you'd be fine.
