If any of you newly admitted students ever want to chat/bounce some questions off of someone, or just want to know the vibe of the school, always happy to be a resource.

Does anyone have any insight into how they release admissions decisions

from what they said in the interview wrap up session: committee meets every couple weeks, and when an applicant is presented to committee by their interviewer, they are assigned a committee score. the applicants at the top of this score list are offered early As, but they trickle out slowly because they have a small class and don’t want to overextend. starting in january, the group with scores “far below what they’ve ever admitted in the past” will receive a post-ii R. for the people close to the A/WL cutoff, they will wait to send decisions until later in the cycle to give all interviewees a fair chance

then perhaps they bank the borderline scorers from each batch and then go back through them after all the early As are handed out

thank you so much! How do you find the location? I went to undergrad in Maine and while I like the outdoors I hated being so disconnected to urban settings and feeling isolated. I'm wondering what the upper valley is like. I'd love to know the vibe of the classes in general as well.
