Ah got it! When you say go deep, like are they asking super detailed follow-up questions (e.g., what specific methodology did you use to measure a specific molecule)? And are the ethical scenarios simple? Thanks again for your help!

Mine was insanely simple ethical scenario, and interviewer even said there was no right answer except the obviously unethical one. As for like they ask about like it was like oh what are you most proud of, why did you do this for 6 years but in no way at all was it technical. More like even though they didn’t ask explicitly they want to know what are you interested in, what is your niche, what can you contribute as a physician. BOTH of my interviewers said they value diversity and when a student is rly accomplished in their specific niche whatever that is, so looks like they might be looking for a specific type of applicant.

for me personally i had more tech/AI stuff in my clinical research so they really wanted to know the specifics of those. I would know your research really well in any case!
