i think its just because einstein is free so some people might turn down a better ranked school for free tuition

those accepted off the waitlist are most likely not making a decision until they receive a financial aid offer.

atleast for those who submitted the CSS and FAFSA after getting WL'd, the financial offers come relatively quick!
