I was wondering if anyone has received a secondary from WSU yet? I didn't get verified through AMCAS until 7/29, and then I realized on AMCAS all 3 of my LOR weren't received until yesterday (8/12). How long did it take to receive the secondary once you met all of the requirements?

I'm also wondering if I should email them since the time between when I submitted my primary vs when my LORs went through is a few weeks. I just don't want them to put my application in the "no" pile if they think I don't have my LOR in when they are now in.

I had a similar question back in mid July. Turns out they won't send a secondary unless they have already received your LORs from AMCAS(which is the only school in my list that did this). That and obviously being a WA resident.

Do you think now that my letters are in they'll send me a secondary? I check 4/4 boxes for being a WA resident. I'm just hoping they didn't skip over my app cuz I didn't have the letters. Or like will they go over my app again and see that the letters are now in there? I'm wondering if I should reach out and let them know my letters are there.

I don't think they will! I had sent them my app and didn't receive anything for like a week and then I figured out that they were waiting on my LORs. So they didn't skip me just because I had sent them a primary w/o LORs. It takes about 1-2 days for a school to receive an LOR from AMCAS. But reaching out shouldn't hurt to let them know you have sent over your LORs

for people with IIs, did your secondary portal change from "ready for screening" to something else before you got the invite?

did no IIs go out yesterday or this morning? for the last couple of years it looked like they tended to release biweekly on either wednesday or thursday mornings. this whole process is so stressful and obscure :( i just want to stay in and serve my home state so badly

Hey everyone just wanted to double check... I was born in Spokane but my family moved to another state when I was really young. It looks like I don't meet the minimum "Connections to Washington" requirements so my application isn't moving forward. Is this true? I'm a bit frustrated that they don't disclose this required level of connections before primary applications. I thought I'd have a chance having been born there, so like? Do out of state applicants just have no chance unless they lived there for a long time? Just feels unfair :(

I am not sure about your specific situation, but they have the residency status requirements explained in detail on the admissions page. It says directly: Applicants who do not meet the definition of a Washington resident student OR do not have 3 or more ties to Washington are not eligible for admission and will not receive a secondary application.

1. Born in Washington.

2. Childhood address in Washington (for at least 6 years).

3. Graduated from a Washington high school.

4. Parent/guardian currently lives in Washington.

This is not an OOS-friendly school.

for people with IIs last week, what were the rough date ranges available for interviews?

I logged on to schedule my interview a day or two after my invite was sent so I was probably late to the game. The only date available to me was October 16th. But there is a button you can push to be on a waitlist for if an earlier date becomes available.

have there been any IIs this week? looks like instead of wednesdays now they are going out on alternating fridays?
