That is why I asked "how far do you all /think/ they are with..." instead of "do you all /know/ how far they are with..."

Admit is also a biased sample. People on here are more neurotic about admissions and that could translate to higher acceptance rates reported on here than for a random sample of roughly 12% of applicants taken elsewhere
