Curious if any IS Seattle cohorts that submitted secondaries in September got II.

looks like there’s a handful of Sept. secondary submitters who got ii’s but no way 2 know if they r IS or OOR or OOS…haven’t seen any OOR interviews yet, and there’s only 2 more full interview weeks

Are there any people that still haven't received II and are IS, and submitted end of August? I'm worried bc I still haven't heard back at all....

are we cooked or??? Bc i received II from UNC and OHSU (i have state ties but I'm OOS for both) so I was hoping my app couldn't be that bad, but obviously Ik UW might be different, but it's just wild to not have heard back as an IS

I wouldn't overthink it too much. I submitted to UW in mid-August (IS) and have not heard anything back. I have interviews from four other schools, two of which are "T30" and one "T10" (based on subjective Admit org rankings). So it's not so black and white, as in no interview yet = app is bad. Rather, UW is quite mission-driven, and perhaps your ECs, essays, and recs don't imbue that mission exactly. You have other interviews which should show you that your app isn't bad, maybe it's emphasis is just different than UWs.

Also, UW interviews IS for the Seattle cohort into november and december so keep your hopes up; there's no way to know how they evaluate applicants behind closed doors.

I'm in the same boat - IS, submitted ASAP in early August, AND I'm a reapp (interviewed --> WL'd last year) - have heard nothin this cycle. But I have several other II, including one from an OOS school that tends to favor their IS applicants. All we can do is wait and hope for UW!

Yeah it sucks bc I got II from OHSU and UNC, and my app is very public health and rural health based etc, and OHSU and UNC are also mission-based, and close to UW seattle, and I go to UW for undergrad, but yeah I understand the med school application process is unpredictable etc. But thanks for the hope, I'm just an overthinker unfortunately!!!
