I doubt it. I think the important thing to remember is that even people who have objectively great and competitive apps with no holes or red flags will still wind up rejected at most of the schools they apply to. That's just how it goes when the applicant pool is as largely competitive as the medical school one is.

Did they go out of their way to reject all the high stat applicants or something? Some of the profiles being rejected are crazy....
They went out of their way to reject all the really awesome people because they were like, "They have too much awesomeness! What do we do?"

“The Admissions Committee has completed a thoughtful and careful review of your application. I am sorry to inform you that we will not be able to offer you admission to the class of 2031.
To date we have received a record number of applications for the 104 places in our entering class. Many highly motivated and qualified applicants have applied to Rochester and it is truly unfortunate that we can only accept a few of these outstanding applicants.
In addition to outstanding academic records, many of our applicants participate in significant and sustained extracurricular activities, including research, clinical and medical shadowing experiences, study and volunteer programs abroad, and outreach to underserved communities. Rochester values "patient-centered" medicine and we are particularly interested in applicants who have extended themselves well beyond their comfort zone through extensive volunteer or work activities with people from different cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds, beyond the campus environment.

I don't know why schools bother listing qualities like this as if a huge amount of applicants they reject don't already have these lollll. But I guess it's good to know.
