you are clearly right..again it literally says if you are a 90% MCAT, you are kinda dumb in relative terms. I would argue that you may be more well rounded, as you didn't spend 1000s of hours and dollars to get that 525-528

To be clear, I'm not weighing in on the merits of it. It was just an observation.
If you look at last yrs cycle results it seems like Pitt accepted almost like 80% of pre January interviewers and literally everyone after got waitlisted lol. Am I reading this right?
Anyone who has interviewed also receive the 3-year program email? It seems like an invite to apply to the program so maybe a good signal?

I think they send it to everyone they interview. Just like a reminder that they have it and can apply with their app

lol to this... I scored in this range without using anything except the AAMC bundle and other free resources and definitely did not study for "1000s of hours" unless you include the coursework leading up to this point.
I don't think there's any reasonable amount of time or money that could get someone to a 100th percentile score, tbh. Anyone who does have the resources to somehow buy their way to that point probably has much bigger advantages with ECs, networking, shadowing, and other connections that make much more of an advantage than just MCAT score. If anything, MCAT levels the playing field quite a bit for people who can't afford to volunteer or do unpaid research for 20+ hours a week while their parents pay their bills.
