low/mid stat OOS and my primary was sent in on the very first day/wave and i JUST received the secondary invite today 9/18. i figured i was screened out and expecting an R, does this mean i actually have a chance or is it too late for secondary submissions now since they are already interviewing?

If you got the secondary, you made it past the screen. Submit it! You got this!

+1 oos MD Interview invite (applied MSTP tho!)
Hey, I also applied MSTP and got an interview update that said "We have reviewed your application and invite you to interview for the UCLA Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP) via Zoom. ... The MSTP Admissions Committee interviews for admission to both the MSTP and the School of Medicine. If you indicated interest in the UCLA Traditional MD track in your secondary application, you should expect to hear from the School of Medicine regarding your application status for that program."
So did you receive a different email or is it the same as this? Because for me, it sounds like I got an MSTP interview invite, but its technically not the MD Interview invite. Thanks.

Also an M1 here. Good luck with all the interviews! Our class is genuinely awesome. I was really apprehensive when choosing a school since I was considering a few T20s and felt insane fomo, but I am so so grateful every day that I chose UCLA. This is genuinely the best place to be. Be yourself in the interviews and you'll all do great. I genuinely feel like I'm living the dream and wouldn't have it any other way :)
