not to doom but it says on last year’s cycle that a lot of early-mid september II got their response in early-mid nov

kinda unrealistic personally bc im scheduled for early nov. but then cycletrack says that avg acceptance post-II is sent within the month

from MSAR. and checking for overall, its actually also 16%. 883 interview, 141 matriculate. obviously this is II -> matriculation so this will undersell true II -> A, but that’s the official data we have

cycletrack is a lot more optimistic & in line with your number (40% post-II A rate) but cycletrack is also biased to top applicants/applicants willing to post their results (and therefore applicants happy with said results).

they accept more than matriculate, typically you take the matriculated number and multiply by x1.5-2 it varies by school. like T20s are more 1.3-1.5x while state schools tend to be closer to 2x, I was told by dean of admissions at a state school their state from last year (not stony brook) and it was like 2.4x accepted as many as matriculated.

i know ii -> matriculate underestimates a lot, i was just trying to rely on official numbers bc rather under than overestimate my chance. didn’t realize they had that nice graphic on their site, sorry to have scared people!!
