Looked at all the past SDN threads and checked by username and version of email vs. ii and acceptance. Zero correlation. Same number of people with both versions eventually got a ii. But among the applicants of both versions that received a ii, the "15k" version people got theirs around a month later than the "pleased" version (avg 1.3 vs 2.2 mnths). Pretty sure this is just a place in the queue style email.

goat, hope u get an ii today

I’m a re-applicant this year and I got the first email last year and then a couple more that my application was moving through and passing through their review system and I ultimately got a rejection. So I honestly wouldn’t hold any weight to those emails (both versions).

wondering if anyone who's interviewed already has any info or advice for the interview. looks like they changed their format from the past (it is now 3 15-min interviews) and am wondering if it's more conversational or ethics-based/MMI-like with different topics at every mini-interview.

real I've been trying to ask around but it seems like there are very little people (or none) who have already completed their interview. hoping that it's pretty chill, 15 mins goes by sooo fast!

I had 3x15min interviews. All faculty, all open file. Each was “assigned” a part of my app (clinical exp, service, and research). All my interviewers were very kind and conversational, no tricky questions. Admin made a point of saying this is not an MMI in the traditional sense (no ethical questions, just interviewers getting to know you). Overall easygoing, albeit a bit short. This was their first year trying this format so they seem to be troubleshooting a bit but there’s definitely nothing to stress about, everyone is very personable.
