I just got it. I feel like it’s for people who didn’t immediately jump out for II but also someone they would like to review in depth.
i just got the email, which sounds like pre-R to me like the Boston Univ one they similarly sent out a few weeks ago. Bummed it didn't start with "We are pleased..." like the other poster

I'm pretty sure some of the people who got that email also got an II. Most rejected (obviously). That email was only telling us that the application review is delayed. I didn't get that email from BU and got rejected simply bc I was in a later pile. Rush is just not caught up yet.
