they don’t offer interviews in August. but i agree, third week of september feels like it cant be the first wave

The interviewer will ask you the question so there is no formal prep time like there is for other MMIs.

Alright2001:

Hey I am prepping for my MMI next week. Can anyone who has already done one this cycle let me know if there is time for prep between receiving the questions and giving an answer? I haven't found a clear answer online, thanks so much

Nope, no dedicated prep time. You could definitely take a second to gather your thoughts if you want, but there's no specific amount of time allocated towards prep. They just ask the question out loud and you can jump right into your answer when you're ready.

Are we thinking this or next week could be decision week (R or CR) for early interviews? I just want to know if I'm rejected so I can move on lol.

I think this week will likely be a phone call or a’s? Based on my rough estimate in every bath of interviews about 66 applicants were there. Assuming they take 20% A’s that would be roughly 13 As per interview day. This week would probably be the first interview day only.

Fair enough but I also think the vast majority of us from the first interview day are gonna be CR or R (like more than for later cohorts) bc he said they didn’t want to give early interviewers an advantage.

I totally forgot about this - that is true. Do you remember him saying how CR would be communicated? Email update?

Lol same! I remember Dean Rivera saying they will communicate the R's early (which is around 20% of the interview pool, if I remember correctly), and then the rest will be CR/A's.

However, I am assuming the majority will be CR, at least from my interview day of 66 folks, because he did mention most will be CR and then people will get pulled from CR. Practically speaking, given how much they have invested in AI and what he said, I think we'll all get an overall score, and they'll probably go down the list based on that (just speculation, not confirmed).

No that definitely sounds like something they’d do especially with so many interviewees. The fact that it could all just get boiled down to a numerical score is a little scary. How can you numerically score things like school fit, especially with AI?

All in all, I’m really just hoping to clear that initial 20%. But yall are some impressive people so an R wouldn’t surprise me lol.
