I was under the impression that the first acceptances would come tomorrow. That would mark just over 2 weeks after the first interview day and that’s when Dr. Rivera said that the first acceptances could come out. Also he said that NYU was not too worried about the Oct 15 rule from AAMC as it is not binding on schools I believe.
Oh really? I was looking at the data from last year and it looked like they did not even get first A’s until November.

It seems like last year Dr. Rivera said they were running behind. In previous years, people reported acceptances before October 15th. Not sure if the first acceptances being in November was just for last year or if it's the new normal.

Question - if anyone goes to the info sessions today (interviewed a few weeks ago) - would you mind sharing if there are any decision timeline updates? Do we still think we may start hearing back next week? Thanks guys! Sending good luck to everyone :)
He said the earliest decisions might start next friday, but applicants can expect an initial decision 3-4 weeks after their interview.

Wait I thought he said 3 weeks after interview day. So next Wednesday at the earliest, although he said he likes to call before the decision on Fridays>mondays>tuesdays. So I was wondering if the decision might come out on wednesday and he would call before. Or maybe, he'll call next week, and the decision will come out the week after. (This is extremely optimistic, if i'm in the 10% that gets the A lol)

I just have a feeling, based on the previous comment, that if calls are going to go out, he would do an initial batch on Friday. Just my gut feeling. I would think whatever info the interviewees got today would be the most accurate/up to date.

As of the information session today, Dean Rivera said most likely starting next Friday, but I'm not sure if he meant tomorrow or 10/16. He did make a point to say he thinks the Oct 15th mark is useless and he does not follow that rule. Good luck!

Hey I am prepping for my MMI next week. Can anyone who has already done one this cycle let me know if there is time for prep between receiving the questions and giving an answer? I haven't found a clear answer online, thanks so much
