Haha y'all I'm anxiously waiting! I know that in pervious years, you get the call on the actual 3rd Wednesday, which would be 9/23. This year, September ends on a Wednesday 9/30...but I also saw in a previous thread that they waited till the very last week if it included a Wednesday.
What do y'all predict? Do y'all think well get a decision on the 23rd or 30th?
Either way, I'm ready for the end of the month!
Edit: The 3rd Wednesday is actually 9/16. and they still have the last ED interview date on 9/17. Just an anxious ED applicant trying not to be neurotic lol!
I assumed it would be the 30th but, I have no idea... in the interview they said we will know by the end of the month, but I believe the admissions committee meets on third Wednesday of the month so it could be a toss-up in all honesty.

Ahh okay. Yeah I just started mentally telling myself the 30th so I wont be disappointed on the 23rd lol. The month just seems like its dragging right now.

yes this is worse than waiting that month for MCAT to release. 2020-2021 cycle had September Wednesday fall on last day of the month and they released on 30th, so I believe it will be like that year, so 30th but take this information with 2 grains of salt.
edit: 2015 cycle was third Wednesday and that year Wednesday was last day of month so who knows lol.
Since the chance is quite decent I wonder how the committee decides whom not to accept?
My weakness is my stats ain't that good. Also I was told by a faculty that the town I wanted to work after residency wasn't rural enough.
I think it's gonna be the 23rd.
The last interview will be next week on the 17th.
No reason why they'd wait a whole week after the committee meeting which we're pretty sure will be the 3rd Wednesday on the 23rd.
So yea it's gotta be the 23rd

I was told they flip a coin... no they emphasize a holistic review, so I believe as long as you don't bomb the interview they review your application again and go from there? I would assume they place more emphasis on mission fit; i.e. what you've done for underserved/rural populations within Georgia. I would assume if they interviewed you your stats were not below the cutoff of admissions, but what do I know this whole process does not make too much sense.
has anyone who is regular decision gotten an interview yet?
Yeah yall, super anxious about it too. I know people said conversational, but it was likely oddly conversational. Barely any questions, we just talked the whole time, it got a little personal haha. I felt like they barely got to know me, but I guess that's what my application is for

we think roughly 10 people in each interview, so total around 110 people for ED? And they usually take around 80 people from ED, right? Is anyone else super anxious about this
I was thinking (secretly hoping) that the closer they get to the end of interviews, the less people interview

Can anyone confirm or deny? I was Aug 27 and had 10 in my interview
