How do we know besides admit that they didn't send anyone an acceptance? Ik its a dumb question lol but a little part of me wonders if they did at all.

No one even said much of anything on SDN either so I think its just been radio silence

I wonder why they are sending them out later this year. :( it's not helping with my addiction to my inbox. Also so strange bc in the interview they said Oct 15th

in my interview they said something like "soonest is october 15th but its a long process; we like to give the later applicants a fair shot so be patient"

Just a heads up to you applicants/interviewees. Dartmouth uses a modified rolling admissions process in which they cap the number of outright acceptances they offer as to provide an equal chance to those who interview later. If you are interviewing at Dartmouth, regardless of when, you are interviewing for a seat in the class. There is no "if your II comes after the new year you're interviewing for a spot on the waitlist" here.

What that means in practice is that most people who interview will hear nothing for some time. A few interviewed students in every group will get A's off the rip, but most A's are handed out nearer the end of the cycle. It is a consequence of them trying to hold seats open for the later interviews.

I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but do these rejections come all at once or rolling throughout the day?

i think they are sent in big waves, like some previous days have had a morning wave (sent all at once) and an afternoon wave (sent all at once). It is impossible to know if there will be multiple waves in a day (seems somewhat uncommon) but generally most days have had 1 big wave

thanks this was helpful! If we don't have an II but submitted relatively early, are we done for and just waiting for our R wave?
