They said in my interview everyone who is not accepted (with the very rare exception of immediate rejection) gets alternate list. Then in the Spring they will re-review everyone and split that into WL and R around April.
Yes, I believe last year they accepted people off the deferral list in Feb. and then after that you are placed on the waitlist upon which you will see movement around April/May

i’m also wondering if they send 12 acceptances or if they reserve some spots for later interview dates, cuz they’re interviewed probably about thirty so far
atleast on our interview day they said that there were 3 options: acceptance, deferral, and immediate rejection. Deferrals would be looked at again after interviews are completed.

I think Case understands well enough how mentally challenging this process is and that getting a deferral, though it’s a not a rejection, is still devastating for most people. I doubt they’d deliver that news on camera where you are being watched by your peers and faculty members
As someone who is a reapplicant that got several waitlist offers last cycle but no acceptances, I’d have a full emotional breakdown immediately
yes, I doubt they will do that, I also didn't find any mssgs from previous threads/foroums who got a zoom link and was deferred
