When writing secondaries (especially the research one), if I want to say something specific about the school (research opportunities I'm interested in), do I do one specific to Case or for Cleveland Clinic Lerner? Isn't the secondary we submit the same to both schools?

Additional takeaways I couldn't write about in my primary app for the two research projects I was involved in. For example, I talked about how my first research experience taught me one of my most valuable lessons in handling failure.

Was anyone else's app marked complete despite not submitting all the required rec letters? Applied to both UP and Lerner and both were marked complete for me around 2am today, so not sure if it was manually done. The letters I submitted were enough to satisfy UP's requirements, but shouldn't have been enough for Lerner, so not sure what that's about. My main 3 letters are part of a packet from my school + 1 individual from a physician.

What the heck should I write for the optional essay? Another why?

Is anyone else having issues submitting the payment for the school? I've tried like 4 credit cards and it keeps saying it won't submit

This happened to me for a different school and what worked for me was paying from my phone instead (logging in to the portal from a mobile device and paying from there instead of computer - no idea why this worked but might be worth a shot). Alternatively I've seen specific cases where the browser was the issue (google vs safari vs firefox etc) so maybe try to use a different browser if the phone doesn't work?

is case sending? MD or MD/PhD?

Looks like MD from the school lists of the people reporting

In general, most schools start sending MD IIs before MD/PhD. If you look at the CycleTrack results from previous years, you'll see that August is quieter for MD/PhD than MD, but then MD/PhD gets more interviews in the September-November range than MD, who also end later than us.

also, i dont think one school giving you a rejection is that much of a sign, especially because CW is so competitive

Any red flags you think you might have? With your stats you can get into other schools of equal or better standing.

Not that I can think of, but CW is so competitive. I have several publications, including 1st-author papers, and strong clinical and volunteer hours, but honestly, who knows!
