anyone think it’s worth writing a letter of interest (not intent) for this school? i’m just tired of wasting my time

In the same boat as you. So done with all the writing.
Accepted students - what are y'all deciding between and what are you considering in your decision making process? WCM seems underrated in this process despite being an interchangeable T10 school

I'm pretty decided on Cornell, and here's why:
1) financial aid here for anyone approx. middle class and below is apparently some of the best out there, but we will see with FA packages coming soon. & if you're low income, it's debt-free, which is incredible
2) connection to MSK and HSS is HUGE especially for those interested in oncology/ortho
3) location location location. NYC is an amazing place to be in your 20's, and I feel like this will make the experience of med school so much more bearable as there is a lot of opportunity to balance school with outside life
4) honestly have heard really great things about the community here and how easy it is to be connected with any opportunity you could imagine. I haven't had anything less than a great experience interacting with faculty and deans.
5) I talked to a lot of current students during ASW and they were all kind and lovely, so just vibes are honestly rlly good! :)
6) Like the idea of getting to rotate through the different NYP hospitals in Brooklyn and Queens to see a more diverse patient population than what you would get at NYP Cornell alone
Does anyone know if MD only students can also get involved in Tri-Institutional research opportunities or is that specific for just MD-PhD and completely separately?

location and the fact that olin hall in the first year makes u trauma bond with a small, stress free cohort (coming from the vibes of ASW) makes cornell an easy yes. so many opportunities not just in reserach but really anything! Cornell Tech, global health, etc. location is absolutely prime.

Anyone know when financial aid packages are coming out?
just talked to financial aid recently, they said hopefully in the coming week, so definitely like by end of second week of april (which is kinda pushing it, but yea), but it could be earlier. they're waiting for final approvals
nothing on the fin aid front, right?
