Is the interview tracker from this link:https://www.med.wayne.edu/admissions/becoming-an-md for the whole cycle? It says they sent out 790 interview invitations... is that what they will send out the whole cycle or what they have already sent out? It seems so high...
Last year they sent out 1471 interviews and offered 630 acceptances so there’s still 600-700 interviews to be offered. This is definitely the highest number of applications the school has ever had though but I don’t expect the acceptance rate or number of IIs to change that much from the previous cycle.

That makes sense! It seemed really high for how early it still is in the cycle. Thanks!

yeah this means that they’ll likely send out interview invites upcoming thursday and next monday since they always update it before they send out a batch of invites and last week it was still at 521

Based upon what I’ve read on random other threads, Wayne state sent out between 1200 to 1500 depending upon the year. I doubt they’re only sending out 800 this year!!!
does anyone know if decisions coming out mid October would be for the earliest group interviewed (end of August) or does when the interview happened not really matter?

as a reapp, their decisions are typically always max 4 weeks after interview so i would say anyone who interviewed pre Sept 15 would for sure hear back, and maybe the week after, and a lot could be waitlisted too, Wayne loves using their waitlist
