I just wanted to welcome everyone to what is known as Utah purgatory. Interviewed in Oct. last year and waited for 6 months to be put on the WL as were a few of my friends. I loved this school but dang, they move so slow. Best of luck to everyone this year!

been waitlisted for the past two years lol. Its wicked in utah

Is it ok for me to ask if a majority of the applicants are LDS?

Probably since it’s Utah, but the general vibe students say is that they select against LDS tailored apps

Slight majority of applicants (55%? 60%?) are LDS, probably under 20% of acceptees/matriculants are LDS.

Welcome to med school admissions

And their average mcat just keeps getting lower…. They could be a much better school

I went to undergrad at the U and the vast majority of students were not lds. That said I imagine a lot of BYU students apply so the ratio might be higher at the med school

Ughhhhh I'm scared. No wonder it is taking so long to hear from them. I've also heard they go through OOS before IS? I am dying to know if that is true
