anyone know what percent of IS interviewees get an A?

According to the UNC SOM website (https://www.med.unc.edu/md/admissions/faqs/) , "Generally, around 7,000 apply, around 750 are interviewed, and 230 matriculate into our medical school. Typically, we admit between 3-5%.". According to MSAR, for the 2024 class, half of the applicants were interviewed, and about 40% of them matriculated. So, I am assuming it is closer to a 50% chance (like a coin toss) of being accepted post-interview, so about 25% of in-state applicants (in general, not post-interview) get accepted. Please correct me if I am wrong!

85% accepted student are instate, so the in -state student interview acceptance rate should be much higher than that about 40%

Submitted secondary in mid-July, is there any chance that they will circle back and pick from early submitters to interview?

Yes, as long as you haven't received the rejection.

OOS post interview acceptance rate is similar to IS, because they are very selective when give the interview spot to OOS
