I think? the deadline changes depending on when you receive the secondary but there has always been a hard two-ish week cutoff

OOS received the secondary today. Looking for help interpreting one of the questions from the "Community Standards" tab: Have you been out of school for reasons other than routine vacations, disability-related reasons, or school-related activities? (Y/N ---> if 'Yes' please explain)

I am a career switcher and thus have been out of school for quite some time. I sense I may be interpreting this too literally as this section is really to ensure community safety standards. Can anyone speak to if I really need to endorse this as a non-trad applicant?

For essay question #3 that asks for discussion of a "service activity" is this strictly related to an unpaid/volunteer commitment or can it be related to any role where you are acting in service to others (e.g., a clinical or research role)?

Do UNC undergrads get any benefit in getting into the med school? Or is all they care about IS vs OOS.

There's definitely a large proportion of UNC alumni in my class, but plenty of us came from other universities. Heavy focus on IS vs OOS, though.

Yeah, it only gave me the one option. I was really stressed at first that my II offer was a glitch bc of that, so its a relief to hear that you had the same issue

Last year, it was three MMIs with pretty standardized questions. The time for them is pretty short too, you don't have a ton of time.

For those who have interviews, what were the earliest dates offered? Is it like a week turnaround or a month?

i got my II on 9/4 (with the big wave of IIs) and the only available date was 10/5

For those who are interviewing tomorrow or in the next few weeks -- you guys can't see the names of whose interviewing you either, right? For my other schools I've been able to look up who I'm talking to in order to tailor questions but I only see zoom links in my portal, no names.

i haven't seen anything; ive tried joining the zoom link as well but it just says "host has entered, meeting will start at 12" even though i thought check in was earlier

I think the email said they are bringing in folks one-by-one for identity verification
