IF Accepted to Miami, UF, FAU, & USF—how are you choosing?

I’m trying to decide between UMiami, UF, FAU, and USF, and I'm completely torn. Every school has great pros, but the trade-offs are tough. For example, Miami is amazing but has a massive cost of living, while UF has the prestige but a totally different vibe. OR have you heard things to stay from a school ? Would love to hear how everyone else is breaking this down!

If I were in that situation I’d compare affordability, the area the schools are in and if it has anything to offer you, reach out to current students to ask about their experience at these schools/life outside school, and then maybe consider rankings if you didn’t make a decision based on the other stuff 🤷

Ok thank you. I have been asking current students but as I said before I don't really know many and neither of these schools is where I went to undergrad so the connections I have are not there either. Just really curious what others have heard pros and cons

My partner had this choice and ultimately chose UF due to COL and tuition. Both are great schools.

I'd pick UMiami. Don't know a single person who's happy living in Gainesville as a Floridian and friend of many people who went there🥴but if you GENUINELY can't afford UMiami, go UF.

I know Miami is expensive, but you get the best education there, clinical opportunities, and the best post-grad match outcomes. It's also a much better place to live
