ngl I heard alternate list and just was thinking "aw man" and zoned out. Did they mention anything else? Might be cope, but feels like much higher proportion will be waitlisted today compared to other cycles.
I am OOS so they tied that into my result a little bit and gave me an idea of where on the waitlist I am. They also said official update emails will be sent before Thanksgiving so that's nice

They told me I was in a strong alternate position and to expect movement which would likely lead to an offer

oh wow, I would take that as a great sign. Did anyone else get told anything similar to this, or other info about waitlist position? I do recall them mentioning not wanting to over admit, and that more info will come thanksgiving.

interesting I was told it was too early to determine where anyone was on the waitlist
Did anyone get straight up rejected?? or did they waitlist everyone who they didn't accept
