for people who interviewed - were your interviewers more neutral or excited? Thought I gave an overall good interview at one of mine and it was more of a "wishing you the best with this cycle!". But even during the student q&a all the students were like "good luck wherever u end up!" so maybe its just ucla policy to not give ppl false hopes?

Ok good to knoww. Based on admit last yr it seems like an early interview is a really good sign at UCLA for an ultimate A or WL->A! Im also OOS so hopefully that will help too

n=1, but my interviewers were a little too excited about my app 😭
I had one interviewer say they hoped to see me there in the Fall, but idk if that is just their kind way of saying goodbye RIP
Does anyone know if UCLA-Caltech MSTP is running behind on sending out IIs this cycle?
I checked the box for Trad MD track as well, and received an II from DGSOM last night. Was beyond excited and super grateful since this is my first II but it also brought a bit of uncertainty to my MSTP application. Based on the MSTP’s website, it looks like I’m still in the running for a MSTP II since both tracks reviews applications independently. Is this normal to receive a Trad MD track II before the MSTP II @ UCLA?
My DGSOM II is 10/9, super excited bit ofc really nervous about my MSTP application. UCLA-Caltech is my first choice if accepted 🥺

where do you see the post II acceptance rate?
According to US News it's around 54%, not including the very few people who withdraw post-II. Surprisingly, it's slightly higher for OOS (58.7%) than IS (50.6%). The 44% metric is found by dividing the number of matriculants by number of interviews. It doesn't take into account the fact that the school accepts many more people than those who wind up matriculating.

hey congrats! I am speaking as an outsider, but I'd take the website at face value and still consider yourself in the running. be happy, not stressed and good luck!
