Primary was verified on 17 Aug. If I haven't received a secondary invitation by now, is that essentially an R?

I’m here with you. 😭😭 hate that this was my top choice

It might be a little late for you guys but I think I sent my primary around August 19 so I still have a chance.

Rechecked my email and looks like I submitted mine on August 21st so I have an even better chance than you. 😏

I know admit only has a fraction of all applicants reporting updates, but for 2025-2026 and 2024-2025, there were no reports of people getting accepted with secondaries submitted on or after October.

So if you're like me and haven't received a secondary yet then odds are against us 😕

Just my two cents but comments like this and from KnowOneNone are a quite off putting. No one requested this information. No one wants an unnecessarily competitive environment for an already stressful process.

As your future colleague, I believe we will be better served by using our energy to uplift one another and create a supportive space.

Appreciate your input. How is referencing previous data making this more competitive? It has no effect on the actual outcome of our cycle.

Agree on focusing on creating a supportive space.

I was just making a joke, sorry if it sounded insensitive

Just to back my fellow green anonymous up, I think these kinds of updates are useful in modulating expectations and aren't creating a competitive environment, and I appreciate when people do this kind of analysis. I think it's possible to be honest about what the data shows while also maintaining a supportive environment.

Does UC Davis accept update letters? From what I could see online it doesn't appear like it but I have some meaningful new activities I started/publications so just wanted to double check. I really want to get an II here as I am from rural NorCal and it would be the only school near my family :( Getting love from other UCs but no davis.
