Pretty please🥹

I just finished my responses last night. They are the same as the written ones for last years in 2025 but now just a video response. Here are the two from last year they asked (may be slightly different wording):

1) Describe a time when you were part of a team working toward a common goal. This experience can be within or outside of the healthcare field. What was your role on the team, how did you contribute to its success collaboration with your peers? Reflect on what this experience taught you about collaboration and how it has prepared you for a career in medicine.

2) Please describe a time in your life when you faced a significant personal challenge that wasn’t related to academics. How did you handle this challenge, and how will the coping skills you’ve developed help you in medical school and beyond?

Once you pay the initial fee and the demographic questions, they will send you an email with instructions and the questions to prepare for your approximately 2 minute responses.

FYI, I completed the first-round interview yesterday and submitted it. My AMP page says the form is incomplete, but closed with a red exclamation point on the tab. I emailed admissions. Just wanted to let people know they may run into the same bug

Update: they received the videos and are marking my application complete.

As in you have to do it all over again?

Yes, the portal actually did not reset, it was just the "Say your name" portion that reset so I have to call them again.

Just completed the first round interview questions. On the first question, I had about 30 seconds remaining when the recording suddenly stopped. Did anyone else have this issue? I emailed the admissions office but I am just so devastated because I was unable to finish my final thoughts and fully answer the question. Luckily I was able to finish the second question with no issues.

I finally heard back after calling and emailing the admissions office. They decided not to grant me a retake for the first question (cut off at 1:50) because my response for the second was 2 minutes and 16 seconds long. Apparently if you go longer than 2 minutes (even though the portal says 2 minutes 20 seconds) they consider your response “too long.” When I emailed back and said the portal and email instructions differ from their application of the rules, they told me the decision was final. Be warned, if your response is anything above 2 minutes you will be penalized. I had my two sentence reflection left, aka half the question. Rip, say everything you wanna say close to the beginning I guess🥀🥀

I am so sorry this happened to you but thank you for the heads up!

For the video secondary, I am assuming they don't want us to just read off our response from our screen.

That's crazy, because I emailed them with a similar scenario except it did not save my 1st response and they just gave me a retake, thankfully I used chrome instead of safari this time and nothing went wrong. But I read the interview prompt, nowhere does it say it cannot be over 2 minutes it actually says to start talking as soon as you hit recording, seems like a unfortunate series of events with the new system. Sorry to hear that for you and I hope my over 2 minute responses don't hurt me.

Glad you got the retake! I’m also confused. When I emailed them back and said that the instructions do in fact indicate 2 minutes and 20 seconds, they doubled down saying the 20 seconds were a buffer for tech issues and not meant to increase the time limit. I was very polite and kind but they doubled down on their position. Not really sure what is going on at this point. Gonna just consider this one a soft R and move on

I just finished and I hated every second of it
