Literally. Idk why people can't understand schools are simply going to prioritize sending out IIs to high stats & students with a better fit before they turn to everyone else.
I'm an M1 at downstate, last year I submitted early July, recieved II end of September, interveiwed in December, WL--> A in May.
The admissions process is brutal, but hang in there!

can you please share how the interview went? what to expect, who interviews you and if they tell you prior who is interviewing you

The interview is a traditional interview with a faculty member, it will probably be around an hour long, mine was a longer than an hour.
They tell you who is your interviewer shortly before, they'll send you an email with information.
My interviewer went over my application and asked me some questions about my activities and research etc and also asked the standard interview questions such as why medicine/why our school etc.
For every school you interview at including ones that are MMI I recomend prepping a specific answer to "why our school."
If you know someone in the program or a faculty member mention their name.
For example: I currently work with Dr. X who graduated from this program and he told me "detail specific to that school" and is something I'd really like to experience.
