I started seeing people getting their secondaries sent. I’m in IS applicant and haven’t heard anything. I’m a bit worried. Anybody else still in this boat?

I am also IS and I found mine in my spam - it was sent on 8/19 for reference.

After seeing this I scrolled all the way back in my spam until 8/19 and found it. Thank you for your help

For the question about "additional ties to the state of Oregon that you wish to share" question, are Oregon residents supposed to answer that? Or just leave it blank?

Are you from OR? I'm OOS but applied based on being from an extremely rural state and growing up in poverty along with being a member of a Special Operations unit in the military. Do you believe this would qualify as "superior achievement in leadership?"

From OHSU's MSAR: "Non-resident applicants with superior achievements. Superior achievements are defined as significant experiences in healthcare, leadership, extracurricular activities, and/or community service activities."

I'm IS and chose not to answer it. My entire application is Oregon already. I think if a reason comes to you naturally then do it but otherwise the rule I've gone with on my secondaries is that a half-assed optional is worse than a blank.

I am an OR resident (non-trad) who is not originally from the state so I wrote a short paragraph on the community that I have built over the last 4+ years and how I plan to be in Oregon long term given the opportunity.

Did any non residents with “superior achievements” get an interview yet?
