Some people will just offer info when it's just applicants. Like, "I am finishing my PhD in (insert super impressive thing). Or it's really jarring when 80% of the applicants come from a T10 school.

Yes!!! State schools rise up. Lowkey wondering how much undergrad school ranking matters. It’s just crazy how saturated the interviews are with t10 given how relatively small they are and tend to skew with higher ses.

I feel like it doesn’t matter that much and top applicants are usually at t10s just bc t10s have higher concentrations of successful students. It lowkey feels good being the only non t10 in my zooms idk kinda like the underdog lol

I only know the email of one of my interviewers so I was considering sending one to the entire committee. Did they say on Tuesday to upload a thank you note for the committee to the portal or email.
