Does anyone know if they accept or will consider a research LOR? It seems like from their website, they only ask for three individual letters from 2 science and 1 non-science prof.

Look at med school insider maybe. They posted the 26-27 prompts but I am still not verified so I have not seen how accurate they are yet. I assume a website like that would not give false info.

How are people approaching the essay that is basically a "why medicine?" prompt. I do not want to simply repeat experiences from my personal statement that answer that question.

did a combo of diversity + why med. I kinda broke it down by starting with my background/lived experiences then why med/"the connection that first made you see yourself in medicine" in slightly diff words than my PS then how that connection showed up in my activities/shaped my vision

Hi, I have a question about the two required letters from faculty members in science departments who have taught you. Can one of these letters be from a PI who supervised my senior thesis research, which I completed for course credit?

crickets, i have a feeling the cycle is going to be shifted down by one month compared to last year due to the delays in primary verification this year. so many schools are already doing things later than they did last year.

This is not true. I pulled all data from this cycle so far and from last cycle and compared interview release timeline. Some schools are ahead of schedule and some are behind. Total interviews released is about the same between the two years.

And primary verification was not "delayed." There is a team that verifies and they can only verify so many apps at a time. Think of it this way (disclaimer: arbitrary numbers): They can verify 1k apps per week. Last cycle 4k apps were submitted in the first week, so it took them 4 weeks to catch up with the apps submitted week 2 and so on. This year, 8k apps were submitted in the first week so it took much longer to get verified if you submitted week 2 bc you were not in the same position in order of submission as you would've been if you submitted last cycle week 2.

So there is no interview delay resulting from the build up of apps waiting for primary verifications. Just like last cycle, admissions were able to get through, let's say, 6k apps by the time that secondaries were sent, and those people submitted on time and have been getting interviews.
