I’ve been checking my email incessantly but at this point I’m almost dreading seeing one from them

Last year, were the R waves so comprehensive? It seems like they are really rejecting a ton of people this year in each wave, even relative to last year.

based on cycletrack from last year, it looks like the R waves were each pretty large and around the same size each time

It looks like it. Maybe due to more early submissions?

Does anyone know if Dartmouth come back to reject if they are past your date?

my take, not 100% fact, but if they have passed your date significantly (ie 7/10 submitter or earlier) you aren't getting axed in the first wave, but it does not gurantee an ii. They may well come back and give you a rejection in a couple months. I think they have a pile of "bubble candidates" who they aren't entirely sure on (maybe committee is split) and will re-review when they have a more complete picture.

Again, just my opinion.
