Im a similar spot (low stats compared to medians, submitted end of first week of July), I am actually taking this as encouragement. They are known for having mission fit mean a lot to them so i wouldnt write yourself off.

At my interview session the adcoms say they love non-trad folks.

they definitely do more than other schools, but there are also plenty of schools who love them more (looking at MSAR data 55-65% of matriculants seem to be non-trad).
Not saying this to disagree with you, just giving additional context!

has anyone looked into the housing situation around hanover? I don't understand where ppl live here. There's just expensive shacks for sale/rent from the 1800s that are falling apart
Current M1 at Dartmouth. The housing portal that the school shares, while technically true, is kinda for fluff. It is VERY difficult if not impossible to get a unit at Sachem, even though it seems to be the penultimate place to live.
Most of us live in private rentals/apartments with other classmates. I can think of 4 of my class of 96 who live alone.
I'd say a solid half of the class live in Lebanon, which is the town south of Hanover. Most of us drive to campus but there are busses that a few use.

netter and larner both immediately come to mind. 80% or more of their classes are non trad. There are a handful more that id verify on MSAR before claiming that immediately come to mind but im lazy atm.
I remember when i built my school list thinking Geisel definitely likes a non-trad app but that they weren't a school that "required" u to be non-trad. There are a lot of schools with similar splits to geisel in terms of age split.
