Sooooo like if I applied from NH am I cooked? I got a secondary but have had radio silence ever since and thought I was a strong applicant with a good mission fit.

I got an email saying I could submit a letter of interest. Do people suggest doing this? I’m definitely interested in the program, but not my top choice as I just live sort of far.

Generally no, as this is reserved for applicants who would chose VCOM VA as their top school but that doesn't mean you are not allowed to express interest by submitting one. Just know you may be taking away from an applicant who does have this school as their number 1.
