honestly kinda devastated bc I felt those essays were really good and made my app...

Something about this is telling me "we just removed the essays because they got deleted in error and we don't wanna deal with the effort of getting them back so we are going to act like this isn't screwing over applicants."

Oh I thought they got sick of reading so many essays (cough cough and who made that system up) but that makes sense too

Those essays had some important reflections that are probably missing on other essays because nobody wants to repeat themselves across every essay. Removing 2 essays after the fact is not a great move.

I can still see my all of my essays, including essay 6 and 7? Submitted 7/10

Rough look for them removing two prompts after many students wrote answers for them.

I emailed them to see what's happening will update

I just asked if I could submit an update letter containing some of the info that got removed from those two optional essays and they said yes... which is contrary to their policy on MSAR that says you can only submit updates if waitlisted, but I'll take them at their word and write one up for sure!
