What should I make of an update like this (it's from September 10, and I haven't heard from them since): Thank you for your continued interest in the Thomas F. Frist, Jr. College of Medicine at Belmont University 2027 entering class. Your application has now completed the experience review and is now under review for a virtual interview invitation. If selected for an interview, you can expect prompt communication via email. You could be selected for an interview at any point in the cycle with interviews concluding in early March.

As always, please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions.

I wouldnt say its positive or negative. this is just standard adcom email to be like we have all your stuff and you are still under consideration.

At a school like Belmont, which iirc hasnt rejected many people yet, these emails aren't super meaningful. Only real meaning is an R or an ii

Does that mean they have more interview spots open, or are they just sending out IIs later than other schools?

almost every school got ii still open. this email says nothing about the timing of their iis. it really is just boilerplate language.

I understand. I just remember that AWSOM said they had more than 50% of spots open (last time they updated me), so I didn't know what other schools are like.

admit has tools that allow you to estimate how far each school currently is which would definitely be worth a look. to be perfectly transparent theres a lot of discourse about how exact the estimate is for any one school, but overall you can get a ballpark by looking through this site (cycle results tab and the school interviews tab)

my point was that based off this email there is no indication from the school about whether they have 10 ii left or 10k.
