Just got an email saying "your application has been reviewed by one of our (human) admission screeners and is currently under consideration for a virtual interview. We will invite applicants for a virtual interview on a rolling basis from early August until our last interview in late February."

I am taking this as a very neutral, purely informative notification and I know this is supposed to be helpful and is incredibly kind of them to do, but with this being one of my top schools it has made me more anxious lol!

in the portal does yours say under review or anything for your status? just wondering if they update portal status outside of these monthly emails

i just got an email from them too but instead it said that my application is in queue to be reviewed by their screeners so it looks like you made through whatever initial screening they have!!

when i first opened it and saw the “Our goal throughout this admissions cycle is to be as transparent as possible” i thought it was a rejection and my heart sank. nice to have some transparency though lol!

I received an II, but I am located in a neighboring state. If you watch their online videos and attend their Zoom calls, they certainly lean more favorably toward OOS than a state institution.
