Just wanted to give a shoutout to the adcom. Received SUCH A SWEET update email today to say that my application is still under review. So thankful to schools that do this!

Have you had an interview already?

I have not! I'm considering it a soft R honestly, especially because I'm also OOS. But, I am still glad to have heard something, because I have had radio silence from all my schools for 3 weeks now.

No don't consider it a soft-R. One of my buddies had an interview in late November and got off the waitlist in May. Don't give up hope!

I got the same update email (albeit earlier in the cycle) and ended up getting an II. I wouldn't count myself out if I was you.

Is there any chance Long would send out acceptances before Oct 31? Someone on my interview day said acceptances can start going out on the 15th. Now I think they misspoke but I've been tweaking since the 15th.

I was looking through their interview day website and they said they're not pre match heavy so most decisions will go out in march on match day but Idk if that's different for OOS. So possibly, but not as likely as some other Texas schools!

I have not received any communication regarding a groupme. But the New Student checklist website is still from last year so I think we will hear back in a bit regarding all that type of stuff

Any idea on when OOS applicants who interviewed will hear anything?

my understanding is they put all interviewed applicants on the WL per MSAR. as with all Texas schools most WL movement is late april-early may due to the april 30th deadline for amcas. but chances are slim because of the 90% IS rule and the fact that the WL here is huge. sending good luck your way!

I do know multiple current OOS students that got in off the WL.

agreed. theyve been pretty vocal throughout the cycle so hopefully we hear from them soon

I interviewed toward the beginning of the cycle as an OOS, I haven't heard anything back yet, does this mean I am on the waitlist or are they still accepting OOS?
