Does anyone know what to put down as our USF ID on the residency form? Should we put our AAMC ID or just leave it blank? Thanks!

What do we put on the residency form for driver's license original issue date? It isn't on my current one. And do we have to upload the proof of residency with the actual form itself?

I had to pull up an old pic of my permit to get the original issue date, what a waste of time lol. I uploaded my proof of residency (separately from the form) to “Document 1” and ”Document 2”

Who do so many high stat ppl choose to go here over other schools genuinely curious?

It is usually super high stat people who literally have nothing else other than stats. USF admissions do not care about any clinical hours, volunteering, or a life story. They only care about MCAT and GPA, so people who have 52X MCAT and 4.00 GPA but nothing else can't get into T20 schools but USF will take them immediately. I live in FL and they have a terrible reputation among all pre-med floridians.

The way ppl can fall thru the cracks in subjective storytelling review it’s honestly not a bad niche though imo

I got in a few months ago and am starting M1 right now. I was in that boat, and I don’t know if it was my secondaries or my ECs that were a major drag. I’m glad I got in somewhere though and USF doesn’t seem bad really. I also see a lot of people here that are directly out of undergrad which is nice cause I don’t think it’s good to make everyone do gap years

Current MS1 taking a break from/procrastinating studying here lol. Some admission stats for my class (since MSAR is 1 yr behind and I'm sure people would like to know):

140 students (biggest class ever). Median MCAT is still 521. Median GPA/sGPA: 3.98/3.99. 53% IS students. Not dissimilar to previous statistics. I was accepted off the WL last cycle, and many of my classmates were as well, but idk exact numbers.

If anyone wants to ask me stuff about the school, feel free.

how do they view non-trads? I graduated USF ~10 years ago so most of my coursework is older, although some pre-reqs like ochem/biochem are new. My research from my USF days is hence old as well and I don't have a LOR from my PI. I do have strong clinical experience though (working as a nurse), but worried if they value research more over clinical experience? My mcat/gpa is right at the median.

Most of my classmates are trad/semitrad (1-2 gap years), but it sounds like admin likes nontrads too bc of the real world experience they get. I think they like research a lot bc they give us so many resources to do research. Not sure how necessary that PI LOR is but it’s better to have than not and am also not sure of its weight compared to clinical. Stats are obviously one of the most important things here, but the other aspects of your application need to be good too

My ECs were pretty average, just medical scribing, genetics research, and some volunteering.

Any OOS students receive interviews? If so, when were you complete by?

Just tried to schedule my interview, but when I selected the date and clicked submit the page just reloaded and the date I selected was no longer available. I'm kind of worried that the date had filled up and it didn't process my initial selection. Anyone else have this happen?

I got an in-state II a couple weeks ago with a 3.8/519. Maybe they do value regional ties to some extent, I prob have no chance if I was OOS until later in the cycle which is WL only

seeing some stress over mcat and ii's, yes the median is very high but keep in mind that's the median. go look at the 25th percetile, that means 25% of people are at or below that score, which is less than 520. It will not only be 520+ ii's

And I would say they care about florida residents, a very solid part of our class is IS.

Oos the 10th and 25th percentile is 520, and that was for current M2’s.

instate has more flexibility with 517 being 25th percentile though
