If anybody's interviewed and/or accepted, what sort of advice would you have for the interview? In some sense, the high II->A rate is encouraging but also scary. Any advice?

i would reallyyy know your why medicine and why uva (do your research on the school).

also a fair amount of situational questions like "tell me about a time when..."

otherwise very conservational and chill - they knew things on my app very well and asked me about those.

Very conversational, just be yourself. Amazing interview experience that really sells you on the school.

They will have read your app thoroughly and will ask about things they find interesting/confusing, so know your app and why medicine really well.

This school was one of the most diverse med school. it seems like they dished out diversity completely from their admission process.

VA resident here, I have gotten an II from all 3 other VA schools but radio silence from UVA. Is it worth me sending a letter of interest? If so any recs on what I should include? Thanks everyone!

Hmm it's kind of interesting that it's broken for some and fine for others.... UVA sussy as usual.

Is UVA’s interview to acceptance conversion rate really 74%? That seems super high considering their class of 29 only has 156 students but this says over 400 offered an acceptance. I know they over admit because some decline but still that feels like a big discrepancy.

I recently got waitlisted by UVA. I'm UVA alum and IS applicant. Chances of getting off the waitlist/ how much does the waitlist move for UVASOM?

For those that have interviewed, does the decision letter come in the same week? Even if you interview on a Thursday?

Does UVA only take a week to make a decision?

From personal experience, I interviewed on a Tuesday and heard back that same Friday. Not sure if this was the exception or the rule per se.

i also interviewed tuesday --> decision friday, but as far as i know they send decisions for interviews on every day that week (M-Th) on Friday.

Yes. If you interview on a Thursday, you will know your decision the next morning. Pretty awesome
