Seems like it lol, also sounds like they are a month or more behind where they expected to be as they just released the early October interview batch, so November and December interview groups won't hear back until end of Jan/Feb if trends hold
anyone interview in september and not hear back yet? should we assume we’re on the waitlist now? any hope getting in before waitlist?

I heard back Nov for late Sep interview- keep the faith!
Should we expect decisions this thursday or next thursday

When did you interview?

Late October, so based on chronology and expectedness I am hoping to hear in the next wave, I guess I should have clarified more broadly the next 'wave of decisions' oops

not sure but I'd guess next Thurs or early Feb based on previous cycle track data

I interviewed early nov and they said jan, so the question is whether it's going to be this thursday or next one.

Definitely seems like they're behind a bit, I interviewed in late Nov and they said December but still haven't heard anything. Seems like they might be a month or two behind tbh.
I keep getting a heart attack every time I get emails about joining these info sessions

it's different from a waitlist! it's basically the transparent equivalent of not hearing anything back––it's them saying "we want to keep you updated that we have not yet decided where to put you." you're still in it! and if you haven't sent a letter of interest you should! specifically for UVM, they said in my interview session that something like 80% of their accepted students come from DD list. good luck :)

ah thanks! good to hear! I really liked the school and was a little bit sad. I will send a letter of interest and keeping waiting :)
does anyone here know if UVM offers much merit based aid? can't find anything at all online which seems discouraging
I swear to god if I get one more intercultural edge email while they don't tell me my status I'm going to crash out

apparently the Larner yield rate is 35%?

Makes sense, 90% of the As on admit have multiple T30 II. None of the other similar tier schools are like that. I have an A myself with T30 A, and I would attend depending on the financial aid

I'm stuck in DD purgatory, sadly...

Me too, I think it's low-key like a WL, so I guess we just have to hope it works out :/

~15% of the class receives grant money for some combination of SES status, merit, and diversity

Also just heard in an info session about finances that late-March is the expected roll out of grant/aid offers

Honestly, try to approach each situation by considering everyone’s POV first. What’s the ethical decision? How will people potentially think or feel? Whatever your answer, be able to back it up with some line of reasoning. People also suggest tying in your personal experiences as a way to reveal more about yourself to the interviewer. Moreover, in addition to addressing the immediate issue, try to think of ways to prevent it or address the wider systemic issues at play (if applicable).
i honestly prefer MMI over the traditional format. Take your time to read over each prompt. Try to organize your thoughts so your answer is coherent (easier said than done sometimes). You should be fine!
I’m also scheduled for Tuesday, so I’ll see you in a couple days. Good luck! 😊
When can people on delayed decision expect to hear?

I've been waiting for 5 months, so probably next month? I think sometime in May, they move DD people to WL or A.

Last year, based on SDN, it looks like a few people got off DD mid-April (for an A). And the people who didn't hear by May 1st went to Waitlist. But it also looks like there's a decent amount of Waitlist movement, especially for people who demonstrate genuine interest in their updates. So send those meaningful updates and don't get discouraged!

what are the odds that late feb interviewees get decisions by the end of March considering they’re running behind?

I feel like most of the class comes off the WL, which doen't start to move till May.

It's possible you hear back at the end of March, but it might be more likely you hear in early- to mid-April. That's just my speculation, though, and I don't have any real data to back it up. Those of us who interviewed on 3/17 were told we'd hear back in late April/likely early May.

Since vermont is still sending II, if you''re 100% sure you're not going to attend please withdraw your A. They're not known for giving big aid to OOS student so it won't be useful for negotiotion anyway, and so many others are desprate for an interview.
Does anyone know when their last IIs go out? It seems like they’re still coming to some people.

No idea. When they invited me on 3/13, they said their last interview date for the cycle was 3/17, yet here we are haha
