Hey guys. I have thankfully recieved in II from Utah even though my less than stellar stats so i'm very surprised. I'm just curious if anyone knows what the rough II->A percentage is. I do have ties to the school but am OOS, just trying to get a feel for what my actual chances are given I'm probably in the 10th percentile range. Good luck to everyone else in this process!

For OOS it looks to be ~23%, rising to 49% with IS

I feel like with the U the II is one of the hardest parts, I am still waiting to hear back after submitting my 2º in July...

Can anyone speak to how the interview was with Utah? I have my interview with them tomorrow.

It was pretty chill actually. 5 MMI and 2 1 on 1 interviews. The one on one was very conversational and the MMI had you answer the question with like 3 follow up questions. Honestly, nothing out of the blue. Sorry that was probably very generic but best of luck!!!

anyone know what Utah's post interview yield is supposed to be? They said they were only interviewing 300 applicants for 135 spots but I am guessing they are going to accept more than that. Or do they just hit that number than work the waitlist?

I think for IS applicants, the post II acceptance rate is close to 50%

Also, when did they say they were only interviewing 300? Did they say that on the interview day?

Has any MSTP applicant received an acceptance or any decision? If I remember correctly, they said that decisions were coming out in January, but I haven’t heard anything back yet and I only see a single waitlist on cycletrack.

Yes I believe the few random acceptances in January were MSTP 👍

Sorry should have clarified, those two at the very end of January are regular MD (from Idaho if that means something to you), and those random ones in the middle of the month are MSTP

I don't think so, but it's possible! I thought it would be a phone call, so I'm still sort of in shock and hoping it's not a mass mistake like last year!

It’s my understanding that the first year is in SLC, then clinical years are at the St George campus
