I got waitlisted. Anyone has an idea if there is still hope?

I got under active consideration last year and yea kind of. It's early in the cycle so you have a better chance but I was under active consideration until Mayish and then I was waitlisted.

I just got an interview invite, but the earliest available is Feb 3. Is this normal?

Yes, I scheduled a December interview when I got my II early September
