On my app there was no place to put the fact that I have close family living really close to OU. Should I submit that information as an update through the portal or just leave it as it is.

For this year they mentioned that after the interview, they make an admissions decision at/after the next admissions board meeting following the interview (dates can be found on the OU med website). They also mentioned that all admissions decisions will come out in mid january

They were behind last year. This year, they have already made decisions and are going to send out some invites first day. They will internally defer some candidates that they want for a while to make sure that no one better comes along later in the cycle and to finish up interviews. Decisions will be done by mid-Jan (early Jan is last interview date). So, some will get early A. Some who will likely get in will have to wait a second (so pretty much how every school works).
