I'm perhaps overthinking this, but how should we abbreviate this school's name in secondaries? Given how short their character limits are, this is tripping me up. Michigan Medicine? UMMS? UMich? U-M? Michigan?

doesn't matter I spoke with a M1 there and she stated that the committee understands and she simply stated that the first time you mention the school use the full name if possible and then abbreviate in any way but the safest way is UMMS.

Doesn't one of the secondary prompts abbreviate as U-M? Applied MSTP, honestly submitted a bit ago and forget if the prompt was MSTP specific. Hope this helps, although my response might be a bit late for you:)

It's fine. Went to Michigan for undergrad and "UM" "UofM" "Umich" "Michigan Medicine" etc. are all used and understood. I don't think I have seen UMMS prior to the secondary email, but they use it so I am sure that is fine as well. I think you are in the clear.

Can someone post all of the questions aside from the essay based ones? I haven't gotten mine yet but isnt there one that asks about personal relationships at UMMS etc? Are there any others?

This is not a helpful question if you don't provide any context. Are you competitive? If so, maybe worth it. If not, maybe not worth it. Look at results from previous cycles to make your judgement.

Thank you! I applied MD. I had a 516 MCAT with a 125 in cars. I also have a 3.57 sGPA, zero ties to Michigan at all, and am ORM.

Haha thank you! I promise you its not though lmao. 450 hours with one poster presentation. I'd say my clinical is the strongest with 1600 hours as an EMT and more recently as a lieutenant in my EMS squad. Just goes to show that you never know what a school might like about your application.
