Does anyone know if mid September interviews will start hearing back tomorrow?

Got an II from Miami recently but have not received a confirmed interview date after giving them my availability. It’s been 7 business days and they said we would hear back in 3 to 5. Will probably email them tomorrow if I don’t hear back. Anyone else have the same issue?

This is dumb but can anyone share what time of day their decisions came out? I've found myself constantly refreshing my email all day everyday for like a month now and i'm driving myself crazy and I'd like to know some peace

The only reported decisions have been Oct 16, 17, 22, and 24. According to Cycletrack (unreliable), we're due for another round early next week or at the end of this week bc most of the result days have been Thursdays and Fridays. likely wrong tho anyone feel free to correct me!

what is the UMiami interview like? 1-on-1? Length?

Two 1-on-1s. My first ran over an hour and my second was like 35 minutes

Does the length of the interviews matter or mean anything ? I had two 30 mins interviews.

I don't think so. I was told they'd be 30-60 minutes. My first interviewer was just very talkative and wanted to ask a lot of follow-up questions. My second gave me a lot of time to ask them questions since they'd been at Miami Miller for a while

Hi! I was wondering what the interview was like for those who have? Would you guys say it was chill or were you getting grilled? I've heard mixed opinions on the interviews, which some people saying it was intense, whereas others saying it was super relaxed and just a discussion about your application. Thanks :)

my experience was definitely the former!

It was incredibly chill, with the faculty asking me very basic questions and being incredibly nice!

also congrats on getting miller miami II!! would def recommend checking out SDN for the ethic questions!

does miami reject a lot of ppl or do they tend to waitlist a lot more? this is my one and only ii so im nervous lol

I noticed that UMiami's interview to decision turn around is pretty fast, but my interview was scheduled for a month out. Is this normal or could it be because I'm interviewing for a dual degree program and not the sole MD?

I am dual degree and got my A back in I believe 9 days

Does anyone know if submitting an application to the MBA program after interviewing for the regular MD would affect the results of getting into the MD program? I don't want to risk an MD acceptance just to tack on a dual degree, but also am pretty intrigued by the 4-year integrated MD/MBA. Not sure what to do.

You can be accepted as an MD student first, and then email the school and ask if you can apply to MD/MBA. This is what I did. As far as if it affects your acceptance rate, I’m not sure.

Yes. I was accepted as an MD applicant about a month or so ago, and I recently attended a MD/MBA info webinar and figured I’d apply to the track. They were nice and made it happen fast.

they had waitlist movement right before thanksgiving, i'm assuming for those who interviewed early in cycle and they werent fully sure of. Very expensive school and ppl will hold on till last minute (fairly so bc of prestige) because they cant bring themselves to pass for a lower ranked cheaper school. happens at high ranked private schools
